Winter4Kids 

Winter4Kids is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering youth through winter sports in a safe, inclusive, and purpose-built environment. Located in Vernon, New Jersey, our campus was once the beloved Hidden Valley Ski Area, a place where generations of families learned to ski and built lifelong memories. Today, that same mountain has been reimagined with a singular focus: serving youth.

As a youth-only ski and snowboard facility, Winter4Kids provides a unique setting where young people can learn, grow, and thrive without the pressures of a traditional commercial resort. We honor the deep community roots of Hidden Valley by continuing its legacy of access and connection, while expanding opportunities for today’s youth through intentional programming and partnerships.

Our programs are designed to meet young people where they are and support their full journey on and off the mountain. Through community-based partnerships with schools and youth-serving organizations, we provide access to winter sports for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity. Our scholarship-based ski and snowboard lessons remove financial barriers, while individual lesson options allow families to engage directly with our programs. From first-time participants in our introductory programs to athletes advancing through development pathways and competitive race teams, Winter4Kids offers a complete progression of experiences.

Everything we do is grounded in our RISE principles—Resilience, Inclusion, Support, and Empowerment. These values shape not only how we teach skiing and snowboarding, but how we build confidence, foster belonging, and create meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

Winter4Kids is more than a mountain. It is a community, a legacy, and a place where the spirit of Hidden Valley lives on through the next generation.
